Тhe Оwners Of A Сat Тhat Was Аccidentally ‘Donated’ To Тhe Аrc Тhrift Store In Denver Нave Вeen Reunited

After being unintentionally donated to a resale store in Denver, one very fearful and sad cat was reunited with his family. Montequlla, the cat, was trapped inside a reclining recliner that his owners had left on New Year’s Eve.

“On New Year’s Eve, Denver Animal Protection received a call from a Denver Arc Thrift Store reporting that someone had just dropped off a piece of furniture for donation and they discovered a cat locked within,” according to city authorities.

An animal control officer went to the business and easily coaxed the kitten off of the chair, observing that it was “quite nice.”

The police checked it for a microchip and attempted but failed to contact the owners. The officers received a call later from the owners, who were franticly hoping she had found their pet.

“They said they were in the process of relocating and had given a chair to a thrift store without realizing their cat, Montequlla, had crept up beneath (possibly due to the stress of all the shifting going on at the house),” according to municipal officials.

Montequlla went missing soon after, and they said they searched their nearly-empty house but couldn’t locate him. Just in case, they decided to return to the Arc.

Soon later, the owners and their pet were reunited.

“They were so happy to have found him,” officials stated.
