Aloe has always refused to play with traditional cat toys since she was a kitten. She prefers to play with hair ties instead. They’re her absolute favorite thing on the planet. Aloe is a happy cat as long as she has her hair ties.
Aloe’s mother recently spotted her sleeping on the floor with her paw outstretched, as if she was attempting to free something caught beneath the washing machine.
She assumed it was a hair knot and walked over to assist — only to discover a startling surprise.
Aloe’s mother, Anne Tam, told The Dodo, “I believed she had gotten a single hair tie jammed under there, so I grabbed a clothes hanger and slipped it under the washer.” “Wait a minute, about 30 hair ties came out!”
When Aloe expressed her need for assistance, she unintentionally disclosed her hidden hoard of hair ties, which wasn’t the plan — but she enjoyed having them all put out in front of her like that, so it all worked out in the end.
“I think Aloe was in paradise when she saw them,” Tam added. “She sat there and gazed for a second before pawing at everyone” (which caused some of them to fly back underneath the washer). It was a very amusing sight to behold.”
Of all, just because her mother discovered her stockpile doesn’t mean Aloe will stop collecting hair ties. They’re her most valued belongings, and she’ll find a way to play with them and conceal them as long as they’re lying around the home.
