After months of waiting, a cat rescued from a chaotic house together with an identical kitten is given a second chance at life.
Stephanie and Joanna, animal rights activists from Montreal, Canada, rescued a cat carrying a kitten who had been abandoned by owners with Plyushkin’s disease earlier this year.
Zara, a seven-year-old tortoiseshell cat, was discovered with her four-month-old kitten Zita. They shared a home with forty other felines.
Both the mother and the daughter were very malnourished and need medical assistance. Stephanie and Joanna rescued their lives by picking them up just in time.
Chatons Orphelins Montréal, a local animal rights organization, was quick to respond. “Zara lost two underdeveloped puppies, and her third cat, Zita, was saved by volunteers as an identical replica of her mother,” the animal rights campaigners write.

Zara wandered throughout the home looking for her guardians and attempted to spend as much time with them as possible.

Zara welcomes her guardians from the doorway as they return home from work and tells them about her day. And at night, he purrs lullabies in their bed.
