When Kittens Are Discovered Abandoned In Аn Аlley А Сat Еmbraces Тhem Аs Нis Own

Six small kittens from a litter that appeared to have been abandoned by their mother in Indianapolis, Indiana, ended themselves in a municipal alley. For this reason, they rounded up the infants, placed them in a cardboard box, and transported them to the city’s IndyHumane animal shelter.

Two rescue organization volunteers stepped up to provide the specific care the young ones required so they might have a chance to flourish in foster care.

Fortunately, Penny took three of the kittens to her house and Jennifer took three to her foster home.

Bear, one of the resident cats in Jennifer’s home, has always been known for helping each kitten in need that comes to the place. Since he came home over a year ago, the cat has always been very sweet and helpful, and stayed to help.

Fletcher, Olive, and Mara, the three foster children, emerged from the cage and started to look about the entire house. They were delighted with their new existence as they continued their travels and found plenty of food and a variety of toys to play with.

Jennifer told:

“From the beginning the kittens were nervous, but they quickly adapted. They became playful and curious, they loved meeting their toys.”

They were comfy, but it was obvious they missed their feline mother, so a heated cushion and a plush heart were provided to them. Fletcher enjoyed spending a lot of time with his adoptive mother and was quick to choose Jennifer’s lap as his favorite place to take naps.

Bear could hear all the shrieks of the newcomers through the door of the room, and he began to feel very curious. The cat wanted to meet the kittens, but only until the little ones were medically healthy was he given the green light to see his new friends.

The cat and the little kittens eagerly approached one another after coming across one another and sniffing each other through the pen’s walls.

As Jennifer said:

“There was a lot of huffing and puffing at initially because the kittens weren’t very keen about Bear. When he left the pen, they ‘following’ him because they were intrigued.

Bear was too eager to pet the kittens, so he decided to sneak into the pen without asking permission and get to know them up close. After a while, the trio of little kittens realized that Bear was a friend who just wanted to give them lots of love and attention.

The kittens blinked slowly with great joy as Bear started to wipe them with his tongue and leaned in for more licks. The kittens appeared to find solace in the affectionate Bear’s companionship, and the cat was playing the motherly role that a cat should.

Jenna stated:

Now, whenever he is there, everyone purrs. They like playing with him and requesting hugs and kisses from him.

The smaller ones rush to Bear whenever he enters the room to seek for attention, and they observe him to learn how to imitate cats.

Bear is pleased to have the three little children in his care and keeps them constantly under his watch and supervision.

Jillian added:

“Bear is a gentle cat that is really laid back. He has so far been incredibly kind to every foster cat he has had the opportunity to engage with.”

All three little cats have an extra toe on their front paws, but this doesn’t stop them from showing their true and charming personalities. After getting off to a rocky start in life, all six kittens are thriving in their foster homes in surprisingly satisfying ways.

Bear will keep busy taking care of his foster kittens, until they are ready to be adopted into a forever home.
