Womаn Adoрts Twо Cаts And Disсovers Onе Is Covеred In Heаrts

It’s never an easy thing to deal with the passing of a pet, but sometimes things happen that can make their loss easier to deal with.

When Katie Duda and her family were mourning the sudden loss of their cat Lucky, she came across a photo of two kittens that were currently being fostered but needed a forever home.

So Katie did the only thing she could think of to help heal their broken hearts and that was to adopt the two brothers.

They were being fostered with Wrenn Rescues, a small Californian cat rescue and when she went to pick up the siblings, named River and Remi, she noticed that there was something very special about River.

“I thought I noticed a big heart on his chest when I picked them up from the foster home, but I wasn’t sure,” Katie explained. “I really didn’t even play with them or look closely. I put my faith in Wrenn Rescues.”

As the kittens adapted to their new home, their shyness slowly disappeared. And that was also around the same time that Katie began to notice that there were more heart shaped spots on River’s coat.

On closer inspection she found heart shapes on his nose, under his chin and beneath his paws.

In all she discovered seven complete heart shapes on his body and a further two spots that looked ‘heartish’ at times.

Not only was this beautiful kitten covered in hearts, but he was also full of love.

These delightful siblings have helped heal Katie’s family from the passing of Lucky and have made the family feel whole again. You could say that River, a kitty covered in hearts, is mending broken hearts.
