A cardboard package was discovered on the doorstep of a farming family in northern Montreal, Canada, two months ago. They were shocked to discover a striped redhead and two smaller kittens within.
Despite everyone’s best attempts, one of the little kittens soon passed away. The family went to the Chatons Orphelins Montreal animal rights group with a request for help.
Animal advocates claim that kind individuals have gone a long distance to give kittens to us so that they have a chance of surviving.
“We found out that the two kittens are not from the same litter. The redhead was supposedly four weeks old, and the gray one had not yet fallen off the umbilical cord.
They were named Ron (red) and Ginny (gray). The red-haired boy often wrapped his paws around his little girlfriend when they fell asleep. Ginny, whose eyes had not yet opened, clung to the older kitten, warming herself and calming down.
Every two hours as scheduled, their mother gave the kittens bottle feedings. They started to feel better and put on weight, according to the rescuers.
“Despite being somewhat little, Ron was a big support for the girl and did his best to take care of her. Despite the three-week time gap, Ron was constantly hugging and kissing Ginny.
Around this time, the rescuers had a loner named Scotty, eager to make a friend. She and her siblings were abandoned by her mother inside the wall, barely giving birth. And Scotty, the tiniest of the brood, was the only survivor.
In the caring hands of a foster mother and a veterinarian, she overcame her many sores and began a new life.
When she was ready to meet other kittens, the guardians decided to introduce her to the same age, Ron. The striped boy did not sit idly by and immediately took up the new one.
Ron goads Scotty into games and wrestling, and doesn’t give her a chance to escape his embrace. He seems to know what the kitten needs. Together they became bosom friends, cheerful fidgets.
Red-striped just entered the age of teenage cat rampage. How happy he is now to get a friend on whom he can throw out all his bursting energy!
“Ron is right there with her if you look for Scotty. The rescuers said that Scotty is content that she now has someone to play with since they do everything together.
“Scotty hates being alone herself; she starts to cry until she is seen and interacted with. She enjoys all cats, but particularly Ron. They behave in this manner from the beginning despite not being siblings.
Ron continues to hug and lick the other adoptees. He is happy to have a girlfriend like Scotty, whom he can see all day and fall asleep holding his paws.
These kittens had a hard start in life, but they got a second chance, from now on they do not need to worry about food and a roof over their heads, they have a great future ahead of them, and that’s for sure.
