Meet Janie, a little cat with the cutest face ever who just became viral online due to her unusually colored fur. She is very adored and adored by people because of her distinctive silver fur, which gives the impression that she is a little baby raccoon.

Janie was found abandoned on the side of the road in Ontario, Canada a few months ago. After being rescued, she was taken to the Tiny but Mighty Kitten Rescue.

“Janie was found by herself on a sidewalk. She was yelling for her life, according to those who found her, they informed me. She was left in the direct sun, which led to some very severe burns on her rear paws, according to Melissa, the rescue’s founder, who spoke to Bored Panda. Jane is officially eight weeks old! She had been alive for almost 24 hours when I saved her.

According to Melissa, Janie was playful and sweet despite weighing only 82 grams. The kitten was kept in an incubator for 2 weeks, bottle-fed, and then was introduced to the cat mommy named June, who was rescued as a pregnant cat a few weeks prior.

“As soon as I was able to introduce them securely, June took Janie in as her own. After being licked and cleaned by June for around ten minutes, she snuggled with everyone while June’s children were feeding. I got to witness such a precious moment, Melissa said.

Under the love and care of Melissa and June the cat, Janie is now a strong and active kitten. Thousands of people all around the world fall in love with Janie and her silvery coat.

This phenomenon is known as “fever coat” and it typically occurs when the mother is ill while being pregnant. There’s nothing dangerous about it to Janie, but she will probably lose the color once she grows up.

“She has such a unique personality! She is really warm-hearted, spunky, brave, and loving! She walks around purring all the time! Melinda informed us. “I believe that she attracted admirers because she seemed “strange.

” When pregnant cats are ill or under stress, they may develop a fever coat, which is how Janie got hers. People also like her tale because June and her four children, who I fostered, allowed her to join them.

Melissa added, “I began a rescue on my own way back in 2017.” to her list of accomplishments. I’ve volunteered in the past with the OSPCA in Cornwall, Ontario. When I was there, I saw people bring in small newborn kittens every weekend, and the staff would put them in a room and shut the door.

I gradually made the connections. Instead of attempting to rescue them, they were euthanizing them. I was so upset by that! I sobbed for months while attempting to convince them to let me foster. Even though I volunteered to fully cover the treatment they need, I was rejected.

I also offered to bring the kittens back when age appropriate for adoption so they could still make on their adoption fee. No luck! I ended up fostering for another rescue for a few months and then decided to start my own rescue.”

“The best part of rescuing is watching my foster babies grow and thrive in my care. It’s extremely rewarding!” Melissa told Bored Panda.

“It’s also so awesome to get to watch their adoptive families fall in love with them! I’m super fortunate that majority of my adoptive families stay in touch and constantly share updates. Some have even made Instagram accounts for all my followers and supporters can continue watching them grow!”

Please have a seat and enjoy these lovely and endearing images of young Janie.
