Snow is one of the best things about this time of the year, don’t you think? When the streets are covered in snow, they look as if they are a part of some type of wonderland kingdom, with sparkling icing all over.
What’s more, there are all kinds of fun things you can do in the snow: take your sleigh up for a ride, make snowmen or snow angels. And who would say no to a good, old-fashioned snowball fight with family and friends? Well, if the video below is any indication of the truth, dogs get as excited as we do about snow – maybe even more. Truffle is experiencing how snow feels on her paws for the first time, and her adorable reaction is making the Internet fall in love.
It’s obvious that dogs love snow, but have you ever wondered why that is? According to a recent study, one of the reasons why dogs get so excited about snow is because the cold makes them feel more energized!

Another possible explanation could be that dogs like to investigate and manipulate their environment, and snow offers them an excellent opportunity to do so. Also, snow is fun and dogs know it too! So the next time you’re worried about your dog being in the cold, think that he actually might really enjoy it. Give him something warm to wear if you think it’s necessary and go out in the snow to have fun together.
Who knows? Maybe you’ll be the next one to capture a viral video of your pup discovering the magic of snow!
