Neighbor Нelped Сat Аnd Нer Unborn Кittens Аfter She Was Found Left Оutside Нer Нome

A cat was left out on the streets but found a kind neighbor to help her and her kittens.

A cat found herself wandering the streets in Montreal, Canada when her family no longer wanted her. She was seen roaming outside overnight with a pregnant belly, trying to find shelter.

Gael, a concerned neighbor, learned about the cat’s plight, brought her to safety and tried to care for her while they contacted their local rescue, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, for help.

“We named her Madras and she was very sweet and friendly,” Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with us.

Madras went to her foster home and officially bid farewell to outdoor life. She quickly came out of her shell, snuggled a ton in her comfy nest, and soaked up all the love she could get from her foster mom.

A few days later, she went into labor and gave birth to two beautiful kittens, both boys. “Her foster mom was with her the whole time, comforting her and reassuring her.”

The feline brothers, Casper and Cotton, were lucky to be brought into this world with a family dedicated to their care. A week later, Madras stopped producing milk and needed immediate medical attention for a fever and an infection.

With proper care and plenty of love, she regained strength and didn’t hesitate to go back to providing mommy duties.

Her foster mom stepped in to bottle feed the kittens around the clock. She worked alongside Madras to keep the babies clean, fed and loved.

“Her kittens survived and thrived thanks to the rescuers and the foster family,” Celine shared with us.

“Madras is a super mom. She is protective of her babies and watches over them every step of the way. But when she wants a cuddle from her people, she will jump on their lap and wait to be petted from head to tail.”

The two brothers reached one milestone after another, and at six weeks old, they learned to eat solid food like champs. Their personalities started to shine through.

They are now three months old and ready for their next chapter in life.

“They are mischievous and adventurous. Casper (with the darker nose) encourages his brother to play and is the leader of the two. Cotton, the shyer one, likes to follow Casper around the house, and will seek him out if he can’t find his brother.”

Momma Madras is spending more time with her foster mom now that her kittens have entered the teenage phase. She is ready to retire from motherhood once and for all, and be the center of attention she so deserves.

Her foster mom has fallen head over heels for the sweet cat and can’t part with her. Madras is there to stay forever.
