A couple saved a kitten with lovely eyes who was frequently spotted outside her home, but first they had to devise a strategy to gain her trust. Beginning in late 2018, whenever Betty H. and her husband went for a stroll, they observed a kitten prowling around her house.
They wanted to assist the small cat since she had extremely distinctive eyes, was timid and often filthy, and it was clear that she was starving.
The pair had to slowly approach the little child since she was quite evasive in order for her to understand that everything was well.
Betty told :
“We started leaving food and water to help her, she started receiving our help.”
Since then, Betty made sure to feed her three times a day, but each time with the intention of gaining her trust, which was difficult.
Several days passed, and no one showed up to claim the kitten they named ‘Fluffy’, so the couple knew she had to go through the process to rescue her from her.
Betsy confirmed:
“At first, Fluffy was extremely quiet, but once she grew used to having me around, I began conversing with her. I made a conscious effort to gently touch her. It was blatantly obvious that she had never been owned.
Although progress was being made, Fluffy could be felt reluctantly letting Betty touch her, but she shivered after a few strokes. With a lot of patience and calm, Fluffy began to gain more confidence and began to realize that they were there to help her.
His behavior started to improve; instead of being terrified of human touch, he started to crave plenty of attention and more cuddles.
Betsy stated:
She truly desired to be patted before to eating before taking her own life on the streets. I was astonished to observe that conduct.
In mid-February 2019, Fluffy was finally ready, plucked up the courage, and followed the couple home. They were happy, because they had achieved their goal and therefore the beautiful kitten would become a new member of the family.
Betsy stated:
“I gave him his first bath, which I doubt he had previously. He had orange residue on his feet that was very difficult to wipe off, and he had black markings on his snout. He had large, filthy knots in his fur and patches of lost hair.”
After her bath, Sweet Fluffy purred as her new father wrapped her in a cozy towel and held her close.
Betty said:
I have never heard a cat purr so loud. Later, when we took her to the vet, we discovered that he had a series of problems: he had parasites, a stomach infection and ear mites ».
In the days that followed, he was treated for health problems and had his hair cut to remove all the knots.
Lacie, her other beloved cat, soon adopted the newcomer and the two got along well. Lacie is now much more lively. Fluffy, on the other hand, is not far behind; in a matter of weeks, the little girl transformed from an abandoned cat to a joyful and lively spirit.
Betty said:
“Fluffy acts like a puppy. He is the most playful and energetic cat I have ever met.
Now the couple is fortunate to have a beautiful member in their family, every time they come home, the first thing they see is her pretty face.
Betsy stated:
“Fluffy waits by the window for me to exit my car when I arrive home from work. Fluffy is waiting to meet me on top of the couch near the front entrance as soon as I open it.
Since the couple saved Fluffy over a year ago, she has developed into a stunning cat with lovely yellow and blue eyes.
Betty claims that Fluffy looks like a dog, as it is always waiting for any morsel of food that falls on the ground, to roll and eat it.
Fluffy is already used to her new life, when she’s not playing or trick-or-treating, she loves to snuggle up with her best friend, Lacie.
She also likes to be entertained by the sight of birds from the window, she loves her new VIP life, as a spoiled indoor cat.
