Сat Stumps Rescuers Вy Getting Stuck In Тhe Weirdest Рlace

A little kitten in England was given a second chance at life this week after having her head jammed in a rubbish can due to a group of rescuers who persisted in their efforts despite the odd circumstances.

Tuesday, Royal Society for the Protection of Animals (RSPCA) inspector Steve Morrall went to allegations of a trapped cat and discovered an unexpected scene: a 5-month-old stray cat with a garbage container for a body.

“When I arrived, I saw the head of the kitten poking out from this bin,” said Morrall. “It was so unusual and I have never seen anything like it before.”

Morrall says he thinks the kitten was looking for food in the trash and “panicked when the bin was being emptied,” getting her head stuck in a small drainage hole.

Morrall sought for help from the firemen after realizing he couldn’t release the cat by himself. Together, they used a funnel, plenty of lubrication, and fast thinking to slide the little cat’s head back inside the garbage bin.

Morrall stated, “We knew we had to be extra careful since it might have gone severely wrong. It was a really sensitive procedure. “We don’t know how long the kitty had been there, but she was obviously upset.”

Amazingly, the young cat escaped her close call with the dustbin without any injuries. Soon, the lucky kitten will be up for adoption, but for now she has a new lease on life and an appropriate new name: Dusty.

“You would never know the ordeal she went through last night,” veterinary nurse Louise Simcox told the Express & Star. “She’s happy as anything. She’s fairly chatty, she just wants her breakfast.”
