Tina Hoang chose to adopt tiny Masuka, who was 4 months old, the moment she saw him walking about outdoors on the day she moved into her apartment.
She quickly came to the conclusion that Masuka, who is now 7 years old, is unquestionably the strangest, most interesting cat his mother has ever seen since he is full of personality and not at all like his feline brothers.
From the very beginning, Masuka has been absolutely obsessed with water. He sits in the sink every chance he gets …
… knows how to use watercoolers and never misses an opportunity to play in the shower.
Hoang told The Dodo that “he likes rushing water.” He always rushes in as soon as he hears the water running when I’m in the shower.
Masuka can certainly open the shower curtain and stick his head inside, but more often than not, he likes to use a different technique that entails ripping at the curtain with his claws until he makes a perfect hole big enough for his head.
Tearing holes into the shower curtain is now one of Masuka’s favorite activities, and his mom has to buy a new curtain every few months just to keep up. One day, as she was observing her very weird cat poking his head through the shower curtain hole he created, she was suddenly struck with inspiration, and decided to turn the hole into something wonderfully creative.
So far, Hoang has turned her cat into a shark a dinosaur and a snarky PSA.
“Every time I see him in the shower he just cracks me up,” Hoang said. “I figured I might as well have some fun with it. Can’t get mad at that face!”
Hoang recently invested in a new, stronger shower curtain, which could put an end to Masuka’s damage, but you never know. He could yet manage to do so.
Masuka occasionally gets into problems because of his thirst, but his mother doesn’t mind. His mother wouldn’t trade him for anything, and he always knows how to make others smile.
