A sweet 15-year-old cat was left on the streets of her neighborhood by her owners because they felt she was too old. Fortunately, she sought out a neighbor to assist her out.
Trixie, the senior cat, was well-known in the area, especially to her next-door friend Denah who lived only a block away. Her German shepherd dog Addie de ella, who like cats and has always been a fan of the kitten, also felt a special pull to her.
Denah told:
“Trixie was an indoor kitty my dog loved through a window for years.”
Trixie was found wandering the neighborhood’s streets by Denah, who scooped her up and brought her home. The following morning as Denah and her dog strolled gently, Addie called her attention to something under a vehicle.
Says Denah
“Trixie was there. Even though Addie was sobbing, she came over to me when I called to her. She started purring the moment I lifted her up.”

Sadly, the older kitty had somehow ended up back on the streets, unsupervised by her family or someone to care for her.
So, Denah decided to take her to the garage of her house to provide her with a shelter and also gave her some food and a lot of water.
The poor kitten was very hungry, but she seemed to be a little stressed and uneasy, so she ran away after devouring all the food. Observing this behavior, Denah decided to contact the local Friends for Life Rescue Network shelter , located in Southern California, for help.
The shelter was able to contact Trixie’s owner, who immediately agreed to sign the papers to release her into their care.
Denah looked for the kitten, picked her up, and took her to the doctor for a number of tests, which indicated that the kitten was unable to fend for herself due to missing teeth and no claws. Denah was aware of the kitten’s family’s regrettable choice. on the sidewalks.
Trixie was really anxious at the vet, but she was purring because Denah was by her side, making her feel protected.
Co-founder of the Friends for Life Rescue Network, Jacqueline DeAmor, says:
Trixie’s ability to live this long on the streets without fangs or claws is nothing short of a miracle. I stated categorically that we would bring her to our rescue facility and locate her a loving permanent home.
Denah wanted to investigate more closely to determine the cause of the kitten’s unsupported paw because she could see it. The cat has a wound that was most likely brought on by another animal biting it.
But thanks to timely help from her neighbor, Trixie was recovering quickly and effectively, and can finally rest easy.
Jacqueline said:
“It broke my heart that she was forced to live on the streets. He deserves the world and I wanted to make sure he got it.”
After having a feast with abundant food, Trixie lay down next to her savior and purred too much as if she was thanking him.
She quickly adapted to her new space and showed signs of enjoying being an adorable inside cat once more.
Denah says:
Trixie has always been the kindest, most patient, and caring thing I have ever had around me.
On October 21, the lovely cat celebrated her 15th birthday with Denah and her devoted family.
Trixie was very happy to receive her favorite food, to have a comfortable bed and to receive permanent caresses; Her happy purrs echoed throughout the room.
The elderly kitten may have a permanently grumpy face, but in reality her true personality is very sweet and affectionate.
