Fleas swarmed on tricolor newborn Lulu’s frail body as soon as she arrived to Best Friends Felines, while worms raged within.
The cat was spared harm by the veterinary nurse Avril, who was determined to give her another opportunity. According to Nikki from Best Friends Felines, “We realized that we had to fight for her and take advantage of every chance to improve her health and quality of life.”
Lulu was starving to death and so severely undernourished that she had to eat her own fur to survive. And despite the dire state of her circumstances, she persisted with all her might. “Her spine, every bone, was visible through the skin due to excessive tiredness.”
The kitten was placed on overexposure under round-the-clock supervision. Save her life – that’s what people set out to do. Lulu was fed formula as well as kitten food, and was treated for several ailments in parallel.
Since her body weighed and looked half normal, people did not know if the kitten would survive, but they did absolutely everything possible.
For a couple of weeks, everything hung in the balance, and then the strength returned to the baby, and the weight began to grow.
Lulu grew larger, showed a definite increase in energy, and started to speak. She transformed into a perpetually purring cat in the blink of an eye, eager to soak up everyone’s affection.
Nikki says, “Such a baby has a powerful charisma, she draws everyone around.”
“She is fearless and loves everyone (humans and furry friends). She is bold and confident, with a bright personality.”
Once on her feet, Lulu was ready to socialize. It was decided to introduce her to fluffies of her size.
Beth, a caregiver volunteer, has a female kitten named Peach, who also had a difficult childhood. Upon meeting, Lulu and Peach quickly became friends.
Lulu gave her new friend the same love she received and became an invaluable support for Peaches. “Both girls continued to gain weight and get better every day.”
At the overexposure, the tricolor baby has undoubtedly blossomed. Friendly with everyone, she became a ray of sunshine not only for people, but also for other animals. I also got along with two dogs in the guardian’s house, and it was touching.
“She is a beautiful girl with a wonderful disposition. After a difficult start, she went forward with leaps and bounds.
When the time arrived, the owner, a guy by the name of Rhys, was readily located for her.
The tricolor beauty moved to her house over the weekend and left the overexposure.
She made the decision to play at three in the morning and sleep right next to or on top of me, according to Reece.
Lulu (renamed Ciri) settled into her new place and immediately became a housekeeper.
The female developed into a magnificent fluffy cat over the next months, maintaining the same delightful personality.
The progress she has made continues to astound me. My dearest buddy is Ciri, and I appreciate all that the animal rights activists have done. She received extra attention and affection, which allowed her to develop into the stunning, devoted young woman she is now, say Best Friends Felines.
