Some laws are supposed to be broken, while others are meant to be carelessly tinkered with until they are sufficiently twisted.
Ask Reese, a cunning cat who discovered an endearing workaround to what used to be a stern “no-no” at home.
Reese is a friendly feline who enjoys nothing more than spending time with his owners, Lori and her husband. But while he’s rarely denied quality lap time, Reese’s desire to be closer to eye level went a bit too far in the kitchen — at first, anyway.
“He liked to get on the counter but would get shooed off, so then he started jumping in the chair and try to get close to the counter that way,” Lori told “We then shooed him off the chair.”
Reese didn’t give up, however, and eventually something clicked: What if he sat like … THIS?
Sure enough, Lori decided to relax the rules when she saw Reese sitting like that, twisted around on the chair with his front legs hanging out.
She said to The Dodo, “I recall thinking this is quirky, adorable, and hilarious. “At that moment, he was simply too sweet for me to make him come out of the chair,” the owner said.
“I saw how cute he was and how much he adored the chair – he rubs his head on the chair and then puts his little paws through the openings.”
And this? In essence, I did let him to sit there.
Reese’s strategy had been successful.
Even though it’s a peculiar sight to witness, Reese seems to be perfectly at ease sitting in this position. This may be in part because being up there at all was formerly outlawed.
“He practically always does this or does it whenever he has the chance. His paws will be inserted into the openings while he sits there for extended periods of time “said Lori. As for the guidelines? He enjoys creating weaknesses.
