Excellent pals A nice pregnant cat named Cassiopeia (Cassie) was taken in by Felines, a rescue organization headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, since she required a foster home to give birth to her kittens.
Her tummy grew throughout the years, and one Friday morning the moment finally arrived when she went into labor. The rescue facility learned about an orphaned and preterm cat who was just three days old as she was giving birth to her second child.
They decided Cassie would be an excellent foster parent and surrogate feline mother for the baby. They cautioned her that she didn’t stand a chance, but if Cassie agreed to it, she may.
The rescue center volunteers did not hesitate to try, but they had to travel more than 90 minutes to pick up the little kitten. When they arrived, Cassie had already given birth to her third kitten and was still expecting more, so they put the orphaned baby next to her.
To everyone’s relief, Cassie took it right in and started cleaning it up as her own, which beyond everyone’s expectations. They gave the little child some assistance so that he could nurse even though he appeared to be a fighter and be extremely strong.
The rescue center wrote on Facebook :
“Cassie ended up having a pretty long day and didn’t have her sixth and final baby until just before 10pm.”
With the company of six new kittens all male, the adopted baby named Sirius, became the best at feeding.
Every two to three hours, the staff took careful to check on the small family to make sure Sirius was eating properly and not losing weight. Sirius, who was brought to the shelter as a preemie, never ceased to wow everyone with his tenacity and weight growth.
The rescue facility also stated:
She ultimately reached triple digits and was 101 grams when she was nine days old.
Sirius continued to have a strong appetite and eat well every day since he didn’t want his foster brothers to abandon him.
The kittens started to play more during the second week, and Sirius caught the enthusiasm and started to wander around the nest.
The rescue facility reported:
He was the most persistent and enjoyed being held in our hands while receiving kisses and having his tummy stroked.
The kitten gained four times as much weight in less than three weeks, and its fur started to turn silver, a condition known as “Fever Coat, Manto Febril, or Manto de Fever” that occurs when the mother was stressed or infected while pregnant but usually has no adverse effects on the kitten’s general health.
Little Sirius looks like he has silver and smoky highlights to his fur, but as he grows older, his black color will return. As expected, Sirius needed special attention in order to progress, so he developed a unique connection with his foster caretakers.
Cassie took a backseat to the other kittens at seven weeks since they were all doing well and developing rapidly.
Sirius is still the tiniest of them all, but he makes up for it with his enthusiastic, vivacious nature. When his carers enter the room, he usually concentrates on them and starts to turn over and purr when they tickle him.
Sirius, who has shocked everyone with his remarkable development and evolution, is already a little panther kitten with lovely silver sparkles. Little Sirius is prepared to find a permanent home and a caring forever family after an unexpected adventure in his life.
