An Ontario (Canada) resident saw a little cat whimpering on the side of the road. The kitten struggled since its mother was absent.
Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue’s founder, Melissa, offered to assist as soon as she learned about this. She started giving the cat bottle feeds all the time and eventually managed to get a fluffy baby out.
Melissa was also taking care of a cat that was in labor. Because the mother cat is in desperate need of maternal affection, the zookeeper hoped that she would adopt the newborn kitten.
The girl, named Janie, was born with color change, which happens when the mother cat has a temperature or is stressed during pregnancy. The final color and pattern of the coat appears as the kitten matures.
Eating by the clock and resting in a comfortable incubator, the determined baby perked up and began to gain weight.
Melissa was counting down the days until she could finally put her kitten to a surrogate mother.
Earlier that month, Melissa adopted a pregnant vagrant, helped her give birth and put four healthy toddlers on their feet. One of them, Jasmine, quickly made herself known with her charming quirks and sweet disposition.
Mother cat June longed to find the weeping kitten after hearing it via the door of the adjacent room.
“June immediately adopted Janie as her own and licked her clean for a solid 10 minutes,” adds Melissa. “As soon as I was able to introduce them without risk.”
Her own kittens also willingly accepted the new one into their purring pile. Especially Jasmine, who stayed close to her new sister as if she considered her a protégé.
She washed her little face with genuine love.
Janie was drawn to her brothers and sisters, but most of all to Jasmine. She stuck her nose into the older one and even tried to lick her ears.
Jasmine was always next to the little one and kept her company when the rest of the kittens had already left the nest in search of adventure and pranks.
She looked after Janie as if she didn’t want to leave her alone even for a minute. Over the following weeks, Janie learned to eat and drink like a big cat on her own, and her paws became strong enough to join in the fun.
She copied all the actions of Jasmine during their joint games and tried to fight “in an adult way”, imitating the elders.
From the very beginning, a touching relationship was established between Janie and Jasmine.
Everyone was not bored when these two females flew into a rage because they sprinted back and forth wildly, spreading commotion as they went.
Little Janie’s fur had strange markings that became brighter and brighter, giving the impression that she was a baby seal.
The girl still followed her older sister Jasmine on her heels – a sweet sight! They washed each other, hugged each other enough before going to bed and practically did not take their eyes off each other.
And now, it’s time to attach them to good hands. Melissa knew best friends shouldn’t be separated.
“Jani and Jasmine are destined to be sisters to each other from day one,” says Melissa.
A touching story caught the eye of one good family, and these people fell in love with their inseparable girlfriends in absentia.
Last weekend, the named sisters were accepted into their common home, and they moved in together. The kittens, now renamed Fauna and Flora, learned their new home and quickly settled in.
As Janie (Fauna) grew older, her true color became more and more vivid, and the pattern on the coat appeared in all its glory.
She turned into a luxurious lady in a tuxedo with a white collar, tassels on her ears and one pink finger.
Two hooligans are inseparable from the very day they found each other. Now they will spend their lives together, in their own house, is this not happiness.
