A Las Vegas caretaker named Helen Richter learnt about the mother cat and her six kittens that were discovered in the area.
Two carriers were discovered by the neighbors, one holding a mother cat and her kittens, the other holding two adult cats who were most likely the mother cat’s brothers.
Their owners have relocated, leaving their dogs on the side of the road. Thankfully, the neighbors welcomed them in for the night and began making calls to helpers, said Helen.
“One of my friends saw the post and was able to coordinate to get the mother cat and kittens to safety, and enlisted animal rights to sponsor.”
Another animal protection organization took over the rescue of adult cats – they were vaccinated, neutered and put on the list for adoption.
Last weekend, Valentina and her kittens were taken into Helen’s care – so the cat has a comfortable place to raise her children, and a lot of delicious food.
Valentina was overwhelmed by everything she had experienced and the first night she stayed in the nest with her children. She was finally able to relax and sleep.
She stretched before going to sleep. She claimed that she had nothing to worry about any more, so I simply sat on the floor next to her and chatted to her calmly, “says Helen. I didn’t lift my hand to move her.
“I believe she finally understood that at home, where there is no room for fear.”
Valentina was grateful for the comfortable nest, soft bedspreads and bottomless buffet. She quickly got used to it, and as she began to purr in the morning, she did not stop until the evening.
An affectionate mother is very kind to kittens and fulfills all their needs.
She already accepts the nanny’s caresses with joy and lies on her knees, happy to have her help. The cat visits Helen whenever it needs a vacation and hangs out with her.
Helen says, “Considering all that occurred to her in these two days, I am still in awe of her friendliness.
Kittens begin to open their eyes and see for the first time. Strength and curiosity wake up in them, babies become more active, crawl, try to get on their feet.
Valentina vigilantly looks after the children and makes sure that they do not crawl far away.
Valentina is glad that her family has a roof over their heads, and there are guardians who help and care. She paws the blanket in bliss while her kittens line up and drink milk with gusto.
She longs to be petted and wants to be closer to me when I lie down on the floor next to her, according to Helen. I compliment her on how lovely she is and assure her that we will find her loving parents for her.
