Meet Pumpkin, a white and orange rescue cat who enjoys playing about the house, snoozing on his back, and snuggling with his mother.
When he’s not engaged in such pursuits, Pumpkin likes to think of himself as a prankster who enjoys hiding out around the home and keeping an eye on his family.
His go-to cover, perhaps? beneath the bathmat.
“I believe he thinks if he’s under them you can’t see him,” Hannah Dordick, Pumpkin’s mom, told The Dodo. “Other than that, my guess is that he is just a weirdo.”
Pumpkin isn’t particularly faithful to bath mats; he’s content to hide beneath practically anything he finds on the floor, but he’s sometimes not quite as covert as he thinks.
Pumpkin enjoys hiding behind towels or tote bags that are lying on the ground, according to Dordick. He’ll pretend you can’t see him by hiding behind a sack that is considerably smaller than himself.
Whether he’s cartoonishly peering out from under a bath mat or nestled right by Dordick’s side, Pumpkin is always using his quirky charm to brighten people’s day.
“Pumpkin is a nutball, but also the sweetest little man,” Dordick said. “[He] seems to be happy almost all the time.”
Although Pumpkin enjoys hiding, he always knows when to emerge and be there for his family in their time of need.
Pumpkin has proven to be a loyal and affectionate companion for Dordick.
“Pumpkin’s adoption brought the light back into my life,” stated Dordick. “His affection and cuddles improved everything.”
