At the end of February, Jack and his family were taken into Cindy Congdon’s care by the Seattle Humane Society. Only a week old, his mother was overjoyed to have a secure environment to raise him and his two siblings.
The small kittens are growing bigger every day as the weeks pass…
… and are slowly learning the ins and outs of how to be a cat.
Congdon was carrying Jack’s little body last week when he suddenly tried to groom himself.
… and Congdon was more than willing to give him some assistance as he learnt.
Jack attempted the grooming task while appearing to be somewhat sleepy, and he likely stopped after a time to have a sound slumber. The small cat is still learning how to groom himself, but for his first try, he did a fairly excellent job, and his foster mother couldn’t be happier.
“As the weather warms up, lots of kittens like Jack here will need someone to hold them while they eat their feet and show off their belly button,” Congdon wrote on her Instagram account.
Congdon often compares Jack to a tiny polar bear cub, and there’s no doubt he’s only going to get cuter as he continues to learn and grow with the help of his awesome family.
