She was taken aback when Jeni Koyle’s 4-year-old kid suggested a monster under his bed. It was 11 a.m., and children don’t typically complain about monsters during the day.
Koyle said to The Dodo, “He didn’t appear too terrified — rather curious.” “I’m hearing this noise, and this is the most obvious conclusion as to the origin of the noise,” he said, sounding rather matter-of-fact about it.
When Koyle went to her son’s room to investigate the source of the strange noise, she discovered that Sis, their rescue cat, was actually the “monster.”
When Koyle found Sis as a tiny kitten in rural Idaho, she knew she had to bring her home.
“I wouldn’t normally think twice about a feral kitten, but she was different,” Koyle said. “I could tell she had a special personality even then, and we bonded right away.”
Sis is good friends with Koyle’s two little boys. The cat is constantly with them, whether it’s cuddling up to them in bed or dashing beside their stroller when they go for walks. According to Koyle, “She’s truly like a sister to them.” They behave like typical siblings would. Sometimes they play together and have a blast, and other times they annoy the living daylights out of one other. Nevertheless, they constantly watch out for one another.
Sis sleeps in Koyle’s 4-year-bed old’s the most of the time.
Sis, however, became wedged between the box spring and the plastic cover after deciding to inspect the mattress this evening.
The furry monster was running around under the box spring trying to find a way out, and luckily, hadn’t eaten any plastic. When Koyle showed her son what was going on under his bed, he was relieved.
“When I looked under there and saw Sis, we all had a good laugh,” Koyle said. “We still have no idea how she got in.”
Koyle managed to get Sis out of her hiding spot and reminded the mischievous kitty that she’s supposed to protect her brother from things that go bump in the night — not be one.
