A kitten that had been loitering around a resident’s house was brought to the attention of Nadija, an animal rescuer and foster parent with AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue. The tiny wanderer was nothing but skin and bones, and crust coated her face.
When Nadija noticed the kitten’s situation, she ran to the scene in an effort to take the ill cat to an urgent vet.
The cautious stray moved from one hiding place to another, giving her rescuers a tough time.
The kitten named Rue suffered from a number of medical conditions, including an eye infection and an upper respiratory infection. She had some stomach problems and was dehydrated.
“She spent the night in the ER where she received all the attention she required. She was preparing biscuits the entire time despite feeling unwell and being in a strange location.”
Rue brightened up the following morning and began eating and taking her medications like a champ. She was overjoyed to see her buddy Nadija when she returned with her to foster.
Rue became acclimated to the comfort of living indoors and learned the delight of playing with toys. She started to unwind more and worry less.
“She was a very cautious, reserved, and sensitive kitten at first. Rue used to hide or freeze at the first noise or swift movement, but now, several weeks later, she has become confident and is an entirely different kitty.”
A blanket basket is her preferred place to take a sleep. She’ll go in it and immediately fall asleep.
She likes to run around the home, be silly, and cause trouble with the other foster kittens. She doesn’t think twice to swat or confront a little toy with her newly discovered cattitude if she finds it.
She is always able to locate a sunny location in the home to sunbathe, which is both one of her interests and a skill.
Rue and Ari the tuxedo made the decision to hold hands and experience the sun’s rays together.
Rue has developed into a bold, amusing kitty who no longer seeks refuge. With her tail held high, she enjoys zipping about the home while playing with her feline companions.
“She plays a lot while cuddling up next to me on the couch. After such a difficult beginning, it is so heartwarming to see her recover her self-assurance, live happily without a worry in the world, and just enjoy life.”
The adorable kitten is prepared to locate a home and an everlasting family to cuddle with every day.
