A nice New Jersey resident saw a stray cat with kittens in his neighborhood and made an effort to save them. Sadly, the mother cat did not make it through life on the streets. Due to their need for refuge and medical care, the kittens ended themselves at a city shelter.
When Sarah Sharp, the founder and president of the Community Cat Club (South Jersey’s animal activists), read the message from the shelter, she didn’t waste any time replying. Given their age-appropriate size, the kittens didn’t appear well. Despite everyone’s best efforts to save them both, the little kitten did not make it.
While still weak and lethargic, Lenny tried to play and even made at times something like a purr. Under the painstaking care of the guardians, the kitten perked up and immediately put its newfound energy into play. “As soon as he got better, he began to constantly play and purr,” says Sarah.
While in foster care, Lenny developed symptoms of neurological disease. But it doesn’t slow him down at all.
Lenny is enthralled by everything around him and clambers into whatever crevice he can find. He enjoys repeatedly leaping onto the bed and bouncing off it as he bounces about the room.
His persona is shown here. Her muzzle drives me mad all day long. He enjoys greeting my dogs and running about like a wild child, according to Sarah.

Seeing his own reflection in the mirror, Lenny assumed a fighting stance and raised his fur to look big and intimidating. Jumping back and forth around the mirror, trying to catch the little “imposter”.
Lenny is determined to live life to the fullest despite his neurological problems. He wants to participate in absolutely everything and enjoys every second of his childhood, not worrying about anything in the world.
He frolics to his heart’s content and fills the room with purring sounds.
When he is not busy with pranks, he likes to stand next to his guardians and stare at them with big round eyes. Someone’s future auditor has reached the highest heights in the art of gaze.
Lenny goes into every crevice he can find since he is so enamored with everything around him. He enjoys leaping around the room repeatedly, landing on the bed and then jumping off.
“This is what he’s like. Her muzzle makes me insane the entire day. He loves to greet my dogs and run around like a crazy child, adds Sarah.
