A little black and white kitten sought aid at the Odd Cat Sanctuary in Massachusetts earlier this month. He was first transported to the shelter’s clinic, where doctors saw that his head was trembling.
“He was once a homeless loner who was discovered in a crowded parking lot. He weighed less than half a pound when he was five weeks old, according to Tara Kay, founder of Odd Cat Sanctuary. “They knew I was an expert in such matters, so they contacted me immediately away.”
A neurological disorder called cerebral hypoplasia causes the kitten’s head to shake.
This affects the kitten’s motor skills, causing it to stagger when walking and shake its head. The condition is not progressive, and the kitten named Ernest is as healthy as the other kittens, just a little unsteady on his feet.
“He jumps up on his hands with a purr as soon as he sees someone, longs for affection. Knows no fear, says Tara. “He has a mild case of cerebral hypoplasia, in which his head bobs pretty.”
“Apart from that, he’s absolutely normal, lively, lovely, and quite intelligent.” He’s curious, and he approaches the dogs, wanting to play with them.”
Ernest assaulted the pink toy pig with all his rage as soon as he became acquainted with him. He’s full of energy and bravado, and he’s always up for a game. When they meet him, they fall in love right away.
Ernest enjoys running around the room, hunting for something. He is fearless and jumps sideways to show how tough he is.
If he falls, he will immediately get up and keep running.
“He loves to play hide and seek and eat to satiety. Purring non-stop and so happy to be home, warm and safe next to us,” shares Tara.
He perfectly mastered the tray and continues to learn feline wisdom, receiving affection from his human friends.
Having endured in childhood, Ernest now lives freely as a domestic cat, and his amazing disposition does not leave anyone indifferent.
“When Ernest is older and neutered, he will be housed. Someone will be very lucky with him,” adds Tara.
The lovable rod boy lights up every room he enters and brings big smiles to their faces.
