Christina and her three lovely children live in Oklahoma. Madden, her youngest son, however, was born with both a cleft lip and full heterochromia iridium. When a section of the iris contains at least two hues, it is known as heterochromia iridium. Complete heterochromia iridium, in which both eyes are completely different hues, is extremely unusual, affecting fewer than 1% of the population. This, along with cleft lips, is quite unusual.
“Last week, a friend posted an image of the cat in our cleft moms group. This kitty was taken in by a rescue group in Minnesota,” Madden’s mom told the reporter. “We knew immediately that this kitty was meant to be part of our family. Not only does he have a cleft lip like our 7-year-old son Madden, he also has complete heterochromia iridium, like Madden. They were destined to be best friends. Funny how a pet can make you feel less alone”
Madden’s finding of Moon appears to be a miracle in the face of overwhelming odds. “We don’t normally do things on the spur of the moment, but we knew we were supposed to adore this cat.” Moon, the cat, and Madden are the ideal friends for one another. We shall choose to follow love in a world full of bullies and hurtful remarks. I believe it is reasonable to say that this kitten is love and that she was destined to be a part of our and Madden’s path.”
Complete heterochromia iridium, where the eyes are completely different colors altogether, is quite rare, existing in less than 1% of the population. That plus the cleft lips is exceptionally rare.
