Tora is a one-year-old Scottish Straight cat that enjoys going on adventures with her owner, David Durst. Tora’s favorite position in the truck is the passenger seat, where they drive across the United States.
Tora started her outdoor adventures when she was just 2 months old. So far, she and her human have visited 43 states in US, and all of their journeys are documented on Tora The Trucker Cat Instagram page with more than 14,000 followers.
David said that adopting a cat was problematic for him since adoption organizations believed that the kitten shouldn’t live in a vehicle. Until a breeder emailed him a photo of Tora, he felt he couldn’t have a cat. He realized immediately away that he had discovered what he was seeking for, a reliable travel companion.
“We received Tora when she was eight weeks old and were on the road in three days.’ She was the bravest little cat I’d ever seen, and she ran straight to the vehicle. She enjoyed gazing out the window and soaking in the views. It was a perfect match right away.’
“Tora loves to get out of the vehicle and explore, especially in major towns!” David said. Tora is always up for an adventure, whether it’s in a large city or on a solitary woodland hike. Tora’s litter box is located in the truck’s sleeper and is cleaned twice daily. ‘This is by far the most often requested question,’ David laughed.
David is amazed by the love people on social media offer Tora, so he often updates their adventures on Instagram. He and his perfect companion Tora are planning to visit the remaining five continental states by the end of this year.
