Curtis and Melanie from Montreal, Canada, volunteer to rescue stray animals in their neighborhood. They have cat shelters in their backyard and show food bowls on a daily basis.
The enigmatic black cat initially visited on their doorstep earlier this year, looking for something to eat. She returned later, but not alone; she brought her entire family!
The four kids ran up to her on the porch and bounced around, sniffing everything that was new to them.
As you may have guessed, the kittens were delighted to find food and cozy cat houses. The mother cat seemed to be determined to leave the children in the care of a married couple, and this arrangement suited her perfectly.
Curtis and Melanie hoped they could put the kittens in good hands. They continued to feed them and provide housing and tried their best to socialize the kids.
They couldn’t adopt additional pets since they have aging cats at home, but they were glad to offer overexposure to the kittens for as long as it was needed.
Curtis appealed to local animal rights activists Chatons Orphelins Montréal for help with the kittens, asking them to locate one house for two children.
“Both kittens are lovely and cute. “They are really fortunate to have had such excellent care,” says Celine Krom, an animal rights activist.
Curt and Mel were given to the kittens in honor of their rescuers.
The pair continues to assist the local feline community by attempting to trap and neuter a stray mother cat.
The Fluffy siblings arrived for their first veterinarian appointment. “They’re the cutest and cuddliest kittens you’ll ever see.” “It’s best if they’re adopted together since they’re so close,” Curtis explains.
