The Las Vegas Zoo received two kittens that were found without a mother. Patricia Lika, a foster care volunteer, took them in. Despite the campaigners’ best efforts, one of the kittens did not survive. The black and white infant who remained was determined to live.
Zoe weighed just 78 grams when she was born, but she had a powerful heart and voracious hunger. She ate a nice rounded belly in one night and reinforced her standing in the world.
“Every day she became stronger and gained weight,” Patricia explains. “We were always calm for Zoey since she readily drank a bottle at any time of day.”
When her eyes opened, Zoe rushed to her bottle faster than ever, because now she could still see her, and drained her to the last drop. “She loves to knead with her paws, and also expose her tummy for stroking after each feeding,” says Patricia.
As the girl grew up, one of her ears stood up, but the other did not, as a result of which Zoe acquired a slightly mischievous cute look. She was tiny for her age, but she could not be denied the brightness of nature.
Zoe was sucking on a bottle like she was going hungry tomorrow at five weeks old; eating was her top focus.
She began to leap around the room like a pleased toddler after learning to walk gracefully. “She was upbeat and upbeat. It’s great to see such genuine joy.”
From birth, kittens have closed eyes and folded ears. The latter is revealed when the sense organs begin to develop: smell, hearing, and taste sensations.
Usually, at four weeks, the ears are already upright. But for Zoe, this process for one ear took a little longer.
Only when Zoe weaned from the bottle and became accustomed to eating from a plate did the hanging ear begin to rise.
Zoe became close to her guardian and began following her around the home like an invaluable companion.
Milo, the owner’s dog, frequent visits to assist with the raising. Zoe believes he’s a cat and rides him.
Patricia needed a peer companion for the black and white cat, so when she obtained another solitary kitten (Teddy), she immediately started planning their meeting.
Love had struck at first sight. Both kittens were spared from impending death and have now been reunited.
They adore chasing each other, racing through their man’s room, and doing various pranks.
“I can’t believe how quickly time has passed.” “A great family has arrived, ready to welcome both Zoe and Teddy,” Patricia explains.
