Beth Walden of Florida noticed an emergency post on Facebook on September 1st regarding a 1-day-old cat. Someone needs to look after the newborn who was found alone on the street.

Beth answered by offering to assist. She and her daughter went to get the cat the next morning. The child was ravenous. They hurried to the local supermarket right away to get the special milk formula and other goods he need.

“His first meal was directly in the parking lot, shortly after we got a syringe,” Beth recounts.

They named him Little Short Pants, and from day one he showed himself to be a fighter. He contained the maximum amount of food, which is only possible with his tiny growth, showing remarkable energy and will to live.

“His eyes were not open and his umbilical cord was still dangling. But he moved without problems.

Soon after Baby arrived, Beth’s three dogs heard him crying and came to meet him.

Under Beth’s control, the meeting took place. Frenchy’s dog licked the kitten’s muzzle so lovingly and delicately as if she felt like a mother.

Salvador, the dog, loved the kitten and would visit him anytime he began to squeak.

“When he meows, they all flee,” Beth explains.

While his eyes were still open, he constantly worried that he would lose his foster mother and new friends. Beth was always there and assured him that he was not alone.

“I do everything I can to make him realize what a big smart guy he is,” says Beth.

Little Short Pants finally opened his eyes and his doggie friends were there to celebrate.

The Kid has just lately begun to walk. As he took his first steps, the dog team stood in unison.

Salvador is a natural nanny who watches over the kitten at all times.

The kid who was found lonely will never be alone again.

Today he tipped the scales to 510g. “I first took him to the vet when he was a few days old and he only weighed 113g. Our Baby is growing!”
