Jason Belisha of Georgia told a fascinating story about how he encountered a stray kitten in a parking lot. He was so taken with the adorable cat that he decided to take him with him and help him find a new home.
According to Belisha, when he was returning a rental car, a cute gray-colored kitten suddenly appeared and cried for help. The kitty immediately ran into his arms, sniffed his hand, and proceeded to rub his face all over him. It was clear that the kitten was asking for love and attention from him.
Jason explained, “I was returning a rental car and heard this little guy meowing under the car next to me, so I crouched down and he walked straight up to me.”
Belisha put the kitty down after giving him some love and pets. However, the cat kept crying and following him around. He insisted on following the man home. Belisha scooped him up and put him in the car with him because of this.
On the way home, the kitten wrapped Jason’s arms and fell asleep in his lap. “He was naturally super friendly and sweet,” Jason said.
Jason brought the cat home, named him Popeye, fed him, and even showed him around his corgi dog. Surprisingly, the two creatures quickly became friends and created an endearing friendship.
A buddy fell in love with Popeye and provided him a lifelong home a week later. It was a bittersweet experience. Despite his affection for Popeye, he opted to leave the cat in the care of his buddy. He is confident that in his new home, he will be cherished and cared for.
