Cinnamon, who is 17 years old, recognizes a good thing when she sees one.
So the cat was overjoyed to see her human sister, Ella Parsons, crocheting a beautiful white scarf. She never imagined herself owning the scarf, but her plans altered because of a yarn scarcity.
“My sister was bored during quarantine, so she decided to crochet a scarf with this very gorgeous cashmere yarn that she had,” Ella’s sister, Callie Parsons, told “However, she ran out of yarn and the scarf was a bit too tiny.”
Parsons and her sister decided to give the tiny white scarf to Cinnamon, and see what the cat would make of it. They didn’t know what to expect since Cinnamon had never shown any particular interest in wearing clothes.
But from the moment Cinnamon touched the scarf she fell in love.
“Cinnamon fell in love with it right away and now wears it all the time,” Parsons added. “All she does is sleep with it, cuddle with it, and wear it around the house.”
Cinnamon loves her scarf so much that she won’t take it off whether playing outside, eating, or snoozing. “I believe Cinnamon enjoys her scarf since she has never received a gift like that,” Parsons added. “We constantly purchase her catnip snacks and play toys, but never a blanket,” she says.
And the handmade present couldn’t have come at a better time for Cinnamon.
“Since she is older she likes to sleep a lot so it is definitely something nice for her to snuggle with,” Parsons said. “Cinnamon also sat with Ella while she made it so she knows it was made with love.”
Cinnamon and her priceless scarf were featured in a TikTok video, which received over 600,000 likes in less than a week. Cinnamon has a dedicated following, but none are as devoted to her small scarf as Cinnamon is to it.
Parsons stated on TikTok, “She loves her scarf and gets furious whenever we attempt to take it off.” “She waits for us to put it back on if it slips off.”
