Animal rights advocates Best Friends Felines delivered a cat with kittens in need a few weeks ago.
“When Eleni (the cat) first came to us, she was terrified of humans, but that only lasted a couple of days before she changed into a purr,” explains Nikki of Best Friends Felines.
A loving mother took back control and even enlisted the help of her four children’s guardians. “She starts purring as soon as we pet her.” She’s also really trustworthy.”
Around this time, a small four-week-old loner named Flavian came to the animal rights activists, yearning for motherly love.
“He was found all alone and taken to the veterinary clinic,” says Nikki. The veterinarians noted his extreme thinness. Threw a cry for those who want to help the baby. We thought that we should take a kitten only if Eleni accepts him – so, he would have a mother and brothers who are the same age.
On the day they met, Eleni quickly noticed a lonely kitten. She walked over to him, sniffed him a few times, and licked him gently.
“Eleni accepted Flavian instantly, began to lick him after a second of meeting,” says Nikki.
Four kittens quickly embraced their new sibling and began racing around the room with him, chasing and fighting one another as a unit.
“He’s embraced as one of the family, sleeping and playing with new brothers and cuddling up to Eleni, who looks after him. Flavian frequently plays with his mother or just cuddles her while Eleni feeds the other sons because he already eats on his own and isn’t interested in his mother’s milk.
Flavian is a week older than Eleni’s kittens and plays the role of big brother, leading the entire team by example. The remainder of the kittens hurried to test the litter box when he learnt how to use it and displayed it.
The kittens began to eat on their own and dutifully smash their supper thanks to the guardians’ support and care, as well as the sea of love. They put in weight and acquire strength.
“All five kids love to run around the room and catch Eleni’s mom’s tail,” says Nikki.
“They like to cuddle, both with people and with each other. Often I see their friendly fluffy formation next to Eleni.
Flavian has grown into a confident, playful cat. The amazing care of his stepmother has led him to prosperity, and his personality is becoming brighter.
