By the time Little Wanderers NYC animal activists arrived, two kittens had passed away, and another was on its way to the clinic.
Only the grey-white Kenzo managed to escape. He could scarcely keep his eyes open, yet he clutched to his mother with everything he had.
Animal rights advocates wanted to assist these two in any way they could. A foster family welcomed the mother and boy with open arms, promising to help them regain their health and relaxation.
Kenzo and his mother quickly settled in a new place and fell in love with their cozy beds, blankets, and toys. Lexi was happy that she had so much food at her disposal, and that her only son was in a clean nest.
Because of her thinness, she did not have enough milk for the kitten. “We support Kenzo with regular feedings and give Lexi nutritious food,” the volunteers say.
In just a day, Kenzo gained 19 g. His appetite increased, and he moved around the nest with tripled energy.
The boy is tiny but brisk. Becoming larger and stronger, he begins to study the world around him. Sweet mommy Lexi looks after him, protecting him from problems.
She may calm him down at any time and begin to care for him with maternal passion.
The tricolor cat has already relaxed and understood they are in safe hands. She is constantly kissing and cuddling her beloved son.
Lexi and her single kitten, Kenzo, have a genuine chance of finding a permanent home thanks to Little Wanderers NYC rescues and volunteers.
Kenzo will never know what it’s like to live on the streets; he lives the life of a privileged pet. With the support of devoted carers, Lexi takes good care of him.
Baby Kenzo began to wave after only a week. With his little paws (with white “mittens”), he strives hard to escape the nest in quest of excitement. He has accomplished multiple goals in a short period of time and continues to improve every day.
This courageous young man learns to walk and displays his personality.
After a rocky start, mother and son are thriving in foster care. In a few weeks, they will be ready for adoption, but for now, Kenzo still has a lot to grow and develop.
The kitten feels good in comfort when the mother is nearby, and there are people around who are ready to hug and stroke at any moment.
