These two feline sisters know they can rely on each other in difficult times.
Caramel (or “Cara”) and Cookies & Cream (or “CC”) are two bonded kitties who have gone through a lot together.
When they were newborns, they were discarded in a parking lot with four of their siblings but were thankfully discovered by a passer-by, who took them to Sparkle Cat Rescue.
The rescue organization rushed in to save the abandoned kittens, but CC and Cara’s problems were far from ended.
Sarah Kelly, a rescue volunteer, agreed to foster the kittens until they were ready to be adopted.
Kelly gave the kittens all the love, care, and safety they needed, and did her best to help them grow strong, confident, and happy.
CC and Cara had a particular affinity, despite the fact that all of the siblings adored one other.
The two sisters were almost stuck together, and it was incredible to witness their affection for one another.
They’d clung to one another to get through their frightening and perplexing start in life, and now they were bound for life.
Kelly realized she couldn’t keep them apart and that they’d have to find a forever home that would accept them both.
Unfortunately, it’s harder for bonded pairs to be adopted, as many people are reluctant to adopt more than one cat at a time.
And when the kittens were old and strong enough to be adopted, CC’s and Cara’s siblings quickly found their perfect homes, while CC and Cara were left behind.
But though it was heartbreaking to see younger kittens come and go, as they themselves grew into teens, they could always seek comfort in each other.
They loved to cuddle up together and give each other sweet little kisses, and they knew that as long as they were together they would always find a way to be happy.
The rescue organization tried all possible to locate the girls a suitable home. They sung their praises and posted about them on social media multiple times, but for some reason, no one appeared to desire the two sisters.
Until everything eventually came into place one day.
After over a year in foster care, the day had finally come for CC and Cara to be discovered by their perfect forever family.
Kelly announced the news on Instagram in early July, happy that the beautiful twins had finally found a home.
“We just always KNEW that they had a forever family out there,” Kelly said in her post, adding that they “knew it was fate” when they heard from CC’s and Cara’s new parents.
It’s been a long trip for these two cats, but things are finally coming together.
CC and Cara have a bright future ahead of them, and they will always be surrounded by love.
Everyone is overjoyed that CC and Cara have finally found they are happily ever after.
