Сat With Сhromosome Disorder Never Lets Нer Differences Get In Тhe Way Оf Нer Нappiness

Maya may have a unique look, but she is a really happy cat that enjoys life to the fullest.

Her narrative starts with her being found alone behind a restaurant. Because she looked and acted differently, she was brought to a kill shelter and put on death row – life wasn’t looking bright for this one-year-old feline.

But, just in time, the Odd Cat Sanctuary learned about her suffering and stepped in to help her find a foster home.

Maya had a genetic defect, which caused her to have a disease that was comparable to Down Syndrome. Her vision is poor, and she sneezes frequently, yet none of this prevents her from behaving like any other cat.

After posting her photo on Facebook it didn’t take long to find her a forever home.

And now that she has been adopted she really enjoys her new life with her new family.

Many special needs cats are disregarded because people believe they are too difficult to care for.

Maya’s new family is learning that if they are given an opportunity to shine, they flourish with love.

A big thank you to the Odd Cat Sanctuary for stepping in and saving this beautiful girl.
