In the Cuxton woods, a pregnant cat and two other cats were found abandoned in a cardboard box. On November 11, they were discovered by a woman walking her dog in the morning.
The cats were caught in the middle of a crisis and forced to survive under dreadful conditions. They were then transported to a local RSPCA facility, where they were all examined and cared for.
“It must have been terrifying for them to be abandoned like this.” “We realize that people’s circumstances change, but abandoning animals like this is never an excuse,” says RSPCA’s Kirsten Ormerod to Bored Panda.
“Unfortunately, we encounter a lot of abandoned and unwanted kittens, particularly during ‘kitten season,’ which runs from May to September and is when the majority of kittens are born. These kittens are frequently unplanned and so undesired, resulting in a cat overpopulation catastrophe in the United Kingdom.
“The key to dealing with this is to get your cat neutered from the age of four months,” an RSPCA inspector said.
The good news is that the pregnant cat named Maude was given proper medical care and gave birth to two healthy and cute kittens. The other two cats found together with Maude were nursed back to health, too.
The other two cats were found together with Maude.
“This is Maude’s terrible story, and it’s not uncommon,” the RSPCA said in a recent Facebook post. All year long, our animal rescuers are called to horrific abandonments like these, but especially now. Maude and her kittens have found their happy homes and are living their dreams.”
