Perm, a pregnant cat found as a stray in Newfoundland, Canada, was taken into the Exploits Valley SPCA’s care not long after being found as a stray. Perm gave birth to a single child, a gorgeous cat who received more than her fair amount of love from her adoring mother. You might argue that the lone infant was getting a litter of love.
However, there was a cost. Her ‘do, in particular, has received a lot of attention.
She was given the nickname Mohawk for obvious reasons.
“We suspected something was awry as the cat grew older. Her body was developing properly, but her skull was extremely little “The shelter’s spokesperson, Sarah MacLeod, told The Dodo. “Her wonderfully devoted mother was washing her lone kitten too thoroughly, according to a vet visit. All of Mohawk’s fur, including his whiskers, had been licked clean!”
The kitten’s look was rather defiant as a result of all the licking.
Despite her bath-time enthusiasm, Perm is a nice mother, and Mohawk is in overall good health. As a result, the shelter introduced her to Pigtail, a foster kitten. Because of all the washing, he now has a fauxhawk appearance.
The Mohawk is still recognizable.
Mohawk’s spiky haircut, which she received as a present from her mother, grabbed a lot of attention online. She has subsequently been adopted into a new loving home as a result of this. MacLeod quipped that it would be a look worth adopting for the shelter’s other animals in need:
“We’ve pondered employing Perm as a hairdresser since we have so many cats and kittens who need homes,” she said.
