Тhe Сlumsy Кitten Gets Up Оn Its Рaws Аnd Walks Аgain Вut It Тakes А Lot Оf Work

Animal advocates at NOVA Cat Clinic (in Arlington, Virginia) received a palm-sized kitten. “He was referred to us because of some cognitive impairment that looked like neurological problems and a soft bump on the back of his head,” says licensed veterinarian Ellen Carozza.

The fluffy little one staggered noticeably and was exceptionally small for his age. But, although it was difficult for him to stay on his feet, he was distinguished by determination and a strong will.

Ellen named the kitten Finn and included it in her feline charity, the Chris Griffey Foundation, which offered the boy wonderful prospects for the future.

After examinations and tests, an abscess (caused by beta-hemolytic streptococcus) was found behind the kitten’s ear, no congenital malformation or head injury was found.

Finn was immediately given medication and tube feeding on schedule to ensure he was getting all the nutrients he needed to recover.

Following a series of further medical operations, the kitten began to wiggle his legs in an attempt to stand up. He was still shaky, but he was overjoyed when he felt a new burst of energy.

The kitten got so powerful after only a week of fighting that he began to feed on his own. He wasted little time in attempting to walk and put his burgeoning leg muscular power to good use. Every day brought a fresh tiny victory.

“Like any other kitten, Finn gained weight, learned to walk, and stood up straight,” Ellen explains. “When he was learning to stand without wavering, he enjoyed sitting in his basket and watching life go by.”

Finn continued to struggle to get to his feet, and nothing in the universe could stop him.

If he happened to fall on the go, he got up and immediately tried again. “In two weeks, he got very comfortable with holding himself upright and made amazing progress in walking.”

The little fighter took one milestone after another. He was already able to use the tray on his own and successfully switched to adult food. Now Finn’s main goal is to learn to walk, jump and climb with the same ease as any healthy kitten.

“Every day he improves and gradually displays his amazing nature to us,” Ellen writes.

The kitten, who couldn’t even stand on its own two feet, grew into a lively and vibrant child. His lovely attitude captivates the hearts of everyone he meets, and he climbs anywhere he can reach.

“Every day he improves,” Ellen says, “and gradually reveals his marvelous character to us.”

The kitten, who couldn’t even stand on its own two feet when it was born, developed into a vivacious and active toddler. His charming demeanor charms everyone he encounters, and he climbs whatever he can get his hands on.

By the end of the day, Finn resolutely crawls under Ellen’s jacket so that the hugs are as close as possible.

“This is his favorite place to sleep,” Ellen shares.

He no longer needs assistance to sit up straight, and he hurries around the room with a businesslike demeanor. He can even defend himself by playing puppy wrestling with a dog he recently met.

Finn is eager to find a permanent home and a family with whom he can share his travels after a week of hard labor.

Now that he’s eight weeks old, his true personality is out.

Finn adores people and his four-legged companions, and he is extremely friendly; you won’t be able to get him off his knees.

“He enjoys cuddling, video conversations, and even online education. Ellen adds, “Great with cats and dogs.”

It’s incredible how far he’s gone from his initial visit to the clinic.

He not only got back on his feet, but he also accomplished everything kittens are intended to accomplish.
