A compassionate man from Southern California discovered a litter of three kittens abandoned in a rubbish heap a few weeks ago. The youngsters were in desperate need of assistance.
The kittens were around a week old at the time, and one of them had a limb amputated. They were rushed to the veterinary emergency room by the finder.
Because the kittens need round-the-clock care, physicians sought assistance from local animal rights groups. Amanda Hodder, a creator of Kitten Rescue Life, said, “That’s how we discovered out about this situation.”
Blossom was missing the lower half of one of her paws. The wound has a serious infection that would be fatal if not addressed. Her brother’s umbilical chord was inflamed as well.
“We hurried to our cat-specialist veterinarian, and she decided to operate on Flower’s paw right there on the spot,” Amanda adds.
“Tsvetika was only a week old, and she weighed 140 grams. It is not recommended to operate on kittens under the age of two months and weighing up to 900 grams. This decision was not easy for our veterinarian, but the kitten’s life was at stake.”
Amanda was nervous as she waited for the news in her car. And finally, the veterinarian called her and said that Tsvetik had undergone surgery and had already regained consciousness.
“I went inside and was able to feed her with a bottle.” “I understood at that point that the worst was past and that everything would be OK with her,” Amanda says.
The girl stood on the remaining three paws and requested attention, displaying miraculous persistence. After a few days, the wound was completely healed, and the kitten was eager to leave the nest and play.
“She is a robust young lady who moves easily. You’d never guess she’d undergone surgery based on her cheerfulness and comfortable demeanor.
Flower isn’t quite as steady on her feet as her brother and sister, but that doesn’t deter her. She persists in doing what four-legged kittens do, and she continues to strengthen her muscles and improve her balance.
“The flower is powerful in both soul and body. We knew she was exceptional from the moment we saw her. Her behavior has always been consistent with that of other kittens. “She was joking about with her brother and sister even on the day she returned home after the procedure as if nothing had occurred,” Amanda adds.
“Her endurance motivates us, as well as our fans who adore her.”
Her second limb will be operated on when she is old enough, which will improve the kitten’s quality of life.
“You might describe her as a strong personality. She’s funny and lively with her brother and sister, yet she’ll warm up wonderfully on your chest or shoulder and appreciate these times of connection. She recently found her tail and has been having a blast catching it!”
Blossom’s bravery and inquisitiveness know no limitations. “She’s jumping and rushing about like the world is ending tomorrow.”
