A black kitten was found on the street and sent to a city shelter in Montreal, Canada. Because the kitten required round-the-clock bottle feeding, the shelter workers sought assistance from animal rights group Chatons Orphelins Montréal.
Scooby, the name they gave him, barely opened his eyes. He lived and healed thanks to the assistance of a volunteer.
In the days that followed, he grew incredibly devoted to his nanny and would wail nonstop until she carried him in her arms.
A few days after the rescue of Scooby, the shelter adopted another kitten named Cricket, who was the only survivor of his litter. Like Scooby, baby Cricket was found on the street alone, without his mother.
Dairy kittens needed the care of guardians. Upon learning of this, animal rights activists from Chatons Orphelins Montréal rushed to the rescue.
The kittens have become bigger, braver, and more curious over time. Despite being in two separate overexposures, they had a very similar personalities. Both kitties disliked being left alone and would follow their foster mother around the house in a ponytail.
Because they were roughly the same age and both want to have a companion, it was agreed to introduce them – just in case they clicked.
Indeed, Scooby and Cricket quickly became friends and began to play like brothers.
“They are very nice and friendly. Scooby is vocal. Whenever he meows to attract attention, Cricket repeats after him,” rescuers say.
Cricket enjoys securely wrapping his paws around his many-toed sibling. They are constantly together; it is hard to perceive them individually.
They share the sink and even scrutinize the laundry basket as a group.
They act like a little gang of furry criminals, pulling pranks all over the home.
Cricket hurries to keep Scooby company when he wants to go to the sink.
The two best buddies sleep next to one other and are never apart.
They are just content when they have each other.
Soon they will be 3 months old, now they are ready to fly out of the guardian’s nest and fly to their common home to continue their joint adventures there.
Scooby and Cricket were abandoned at an orphanage with no siblings to cuddle with.
Everything changed the day they found each other.
