Jen and Adrian Davis have been fostering for Best Friends Felines for the past two and a half years and have completely enjoyed every minute of it. They just took in four little orphaned kittens and have been providing them with all the love and care they require until they are adopted into forever homes.
Namaari, TukTuk, Boun, and Sisu, all named after characters in “Raya and the Last Dragon,” are ordinary kittens that enjoy playing and cuddling. They also like getting into mischief from time to time, especially Namaari.
“Namaari is the cutest kitty,” Jen Davis told The Dodo, “as [the] bulk of our hand-raised kids are.” “All you have to do is gaze at her and she melts into a puddle of purrs.” She’s also a bit of a drama queen; if her siblings become too rough, she’s the first one to weep.”
The kitties spent a really interesting day together recently. They performed a picture session for a calendar to raise money for Best Friends Felines, and they also visited with three different families who were all interested in perhaps adopting them. They were completely exhausted by all of the excitement and ultimately fell asleep for a long time.
As the kittens napped, the couple observed Namaari curled up in the most amusing, creepy pose — and of course had to take a shot to capture the spooky moment.
Namaari looked like she had no head curled up in a pile with her brothers, TukTuk and Boun, and her foster parents couldn’t help but giggle at their now headless kitten.
“This litter of kittens like sleeping in unusual postures, but this has to be one of the weirdest ways Namaari has slept,” Davis said.
They got the shot and posted it online, giving joy and perhaps a few frights to everyone who saw it. Namaari is full of hilarity and adventures like these, and she was recently paired with her forever family.
She’ll be on her way to her new home in a few weeks, where she’ll most certainly continue to amuse everyone with her odd sleeping positions and general misbehavior.
