On the street, a dead cat was discovered with five live kittens. The destitute children had no one to turn to, but then a miracle occurred.
The kittens have quickly transported to the Maryland shelter thanks to the diligence of an uninterested passer-by. Their mother was probably killed when she was hit by a vehicle.
Fuzzies were very wary of people and huddled up to each other, looking for support. The braver ones covered the more frightened ones.
Jen (Jen @ pokeypotpie), a volunteer, took the kids for overexposure. The kittens quickly relaxed in her house since it was warmer and cozier than the shelter.
Nonetheless, they made it clear that they had no intention of parting ways. The kittens, all five of them, played and slept together in their huge chamber. They couldn’t sleep since they were still awake.
Jen set up video monitoring one day to see what the kittens were up to while she was gone. They around the camera, smelt it and investigated it from every angle before losing interest in it.
Ian, the kittens’ “daddy,” spends a lot of time playing with them. The kids love it when he stuffs them into the large pocket of his hoodie and rolls around the house with them.
The kittens developed after two weeks and emerged as distinct individuals. Pesto, the youngest of the litter, has developed confidence as well.
“It’s unfortunate that the kittens survived the catastrophe,” Jen explains, “but we took care of them and hope they find nice homes.”
It’s good that fluffy orphans get their portion of love!
