Iris is a kitty who spent her whole pregnancy on the streets of California, but refused to give birth because she knew her puppies would be unsafe without a home.
On the streets, life is difficult for a kitten. They spend years battling various threats, and there are moments when they can’t do anything except call for assistance and hope that a nice human would come to their rescue.
A sweet kitten came at the shelter in a bad way.
You could see he hadn’t eaten in several days since he appeared to be quite frail. As if that wasn’t enough, the adorable kitty was pregnant and due to give birth in less than a week.
To save her and the young kittens on the way, you had to act immediately.
They gave her the name Iris and rushed her to the vet right away; her condition needed treatment, but she was a strong woman who would mend quickly with the support of rescuers.
The most essential thing was for him to locate a temporary home where he could be treated. Angela Su, a volunteer, welcomed the cat into her home without hesitation, assuring her that she would be secure and sound.
“I believe she realized she’d be secure with me,” Angela stated.
Angela had anticipated the kittens arriving in about a week.
Iris, on the other hand, stunned everyone by giving birth the same night she arrived at her temporary residence. It was apparent that she had found a secure haven and that she would be helped so that her kittens would not go hungry.

Iris has shown to be the finest mother in the world, never being away from her children. Iris is such a loving mother that she sometimes forgets to take care of herself. She continuously bathes them and makes sure to provide them with plenty of love and food.
Iris refuses to go away from her offspring, so the cat only ate when Angela handed her a dish.
When it comes to washing her children, Iris is adamant. Every day, they each get a bath, and if one of the puppies tries to flee, the watchful mother cat meows loudly until the puppy returns.
“Iris can be rather obnoxious in the bath, especially if her children are ignoring her,” Angela explained.
Each dish of food and new toy brought to her babies is scrutinized by the kitty. You’re well aware that your children rely on you to keep them safe.
“It crushes my heart to think what may have happened if we hadn’t taken her in,” Angela expressed her sadness.
