Meet Sophie, the fluffy female cat, and Scottie, the pathetic cat next door who adores her. Sophie is a Boston rescue dog that was acquired in 2014. Sophie’s human mom told Love Meow, “I remember when I first started putting her out on the leash Scottie would come over and watch from across the yard or driveway without venturing too close.” Scottie would always remain a safe distance from the cat of his dreams, but he would never lose sight of it.
“Sophie was too preoccupied for him… But, as time went on, he grew bolder and sat closer to the group, as if he was waiting for an invitation to join in. Sophie didn’t appear to mind that he was there as long as she didn’t have to give him any attention.”
Scottie needed a few weeks to summon the guts to approach the person who had piqued his interest. Sophie began to expect him on her trips and allowed him to sit with her as a result of his perseverance, she told Love Meow.
Two years later, the two are inseparable. “They’re so adorable together.” He participates in whatever Sophie does.”
