Nala has been with her family since she was a kitten, and she has always prided herself on being the family’s favorite child. She enjoys spending time with her parents and receiving plenty of attention, with one of her favorite forms of attention being being carried like a baby.
Nala is used to being held and being near to her family because she grew up with them, and she appears to enjoy being cradled in her parents’ arms. While some cats despise being held, Nala isn’t one of them…
… and frequently goes out of her way to find it.
Nala’s favorite thing to do when her father is playing video games is jump on top of him, disrupting the game, and then fall into the crook of his arm, being held.
“She usually comes to me at night and puts her faith in my arms,” Nala’s father, Alexander Fredriksen. “Despite the fact that she usually wakes me up, it’s a ritual I enjoy.”
Nala has always been a weird cat, and her parents like her for it — but they were anxious about how queen Nala would respond when they just adopted a kid.
“We were concerned she’d feel intimidated or envious, and we anticipated worst-case situations like our kid becoming allergic as well,” Fredriksen said. “However, we were pleasantly delighted.”
While she was initially wary of her new baby sister and maintained her distance for a while, Nala ultimately warmed up to her and now adores her…
… and swiftly began educating her about the joys of being cradled in her parents’ arms.
Despite the fact that Nala has accepted her newborn sister into the family, she ensures that she is ALWAYS present at her sister’s family activities. From dinner till bedtime…
…and everything in between, Nala is certain that her new baby sister is aware of who the true queen of the house is.
Nala, on the other hand, appears to be ecstatic to have a new buddy, and her new baby sister appears to be equally ecstatic to have Nala as a big sister and closest friend who will always be there to defend her.
“Do you get up early in the morning?” “She follows us,” Fredriksen explained. “Are you going to change your diapers in the bathroom?” She comes along for the ride. Maryon sleeps next to the infant during the night, while Nala sleeps next to me. We are a strange yet loving family of four. Nala is content, the baby is content, and we are content.”
