A lovely tuxedo cat was torn from the world she knew and loved after her owner passed away. She grew upset and lost her appetite after losing her owner.

Allie, a lovely cat, was relinquished to the shelter at the age of five following a series of stressful occurrences.

She was later adopted by the granddaughter of her former owner, who had four cats of her own.
Allie, however, did not get along with the other cats. She was in a bad mood.

Allie had no option but to be surrendered to the Pixie Project in Portland, Oregon, by the granddaughter.
There, she was surrounded by even more cats, making Allie even more frightened on top of her grief at the loss of her owner.

“Allie was a nice lap cat, but the granddaughter had four cats of her own, and Allie expressed her dissatisfaction – something she did at the shelter as well.” Janelle, a volunteer foster for the Pixie Project, said the shelter had to sedate her to keep her peaceful. She needed a foster home that could take care of her special needs.

llie was adopted from the shelter and placed in a loving foster home with no other cats.

She was obviously in desperate need of affection. She staggered out of her carrier, nervous and with a sprained leg.

“When Allie came, she was in such a miserable mood. She just looked a little scruffy, was hobbling, and had the grumpiest meow I’d ever heard. Janelle explained, “She never lost her grouchy meow.”

Allie’s limp, on the other hand, would not be the most troubling issue.

When Allie refused to eat or drink, Janelle discovered the seriousness of her despair. Allie was becoming more and more of a concern for Janelle.

To keep her hydrated, she started syringe feeding her water and giving her IV fluids.

“Allie was very loving. Janelle explained,” She would let me wrap her up like a little burrito and inject water into her mouth. ”

Allie was offered a variety of delightful meals, including baby food. However, nothing seemed to arouse my curiosity.

It was the fourth day and my last attempt to persuade him to eat or drink without using an IV. Janelle said, “I opened an attractive can of tuna and prayed for the best.
Allie starts to feed.

It was all upward from then until Allie started eating and drinking.

As Allie’s appearance improved, Janelle sensed a ray of optimism. Her fur was better, and her eyes were brighter.Allie had gone from being a rough and tumble kitten to becoming a wonderful, gentle girl,” Janelle added.

Allie was the ideal lap cat, with a heart full of love. She yearned for her foster parents’ company.

Every night, she slept on top of Janelle or her boyfriend. She couldn’t seem to get enough cuddles!

Allie also like wearing bowties and sat proudly when one was placed around her neck.

Allie was finally obtaining the self-assurance she needed to feel like the princess she truly was.

“She also appeared to have discovered her fondness for catnip.” Janelle recalls, “She was infatuated with everything catnip.”

Both physically and mentally, Allie felt better. It was soon time for her to look for her permanent home.

“Leaving a foster child is never easy. “There have been a handful who have come dangerously close to becoming foster failures, and Allie was one of them,” Janelle explained.

Allie was fortunate enough to find the ideal family that would provide her with the love and care she required.

She was adopted by a lovely couple who didn’t have any other animals. They made a mental note of Allie’s favorite snack and made sure to have plenty on hand for her when she got home.

They even had a bowtie ready for her when she arrived!

Allie is now known as Weetzie Cat, after a character from her human’s favorite book.

Her human companions only had one gripe.

“Their one “concern,” they noted in an adoption update, is that it’s hard to get anything else done when they can simply snuggle her and watch her be cute,” Janelle added.

It was difficult to resist Weetzie Cat’s charm and endearing personality. She was a princess, after all!

We’re overjoyed that Weetzie Cat and her humans were reunited.
