A five-week old kitten from Colorado was recently saved from death in the nick of time. The poor cutie was found frozen with his tail and paws to a semi-trailer. If it wasn’t for a shop patron nearby to spot it hanging off a tire, it would be trapped in place for who knows how long. He immediately called an animal shelter who sent a team that got the kitty out of the bad situation and got it to a vet.
In October, temperatures in Denver and around Colorado are known to plummet. Many unlucky creatures freeze outside, and this kitten would have been no exception. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan came to its aid, and the kitten is currently doing well.
According to the team that responded to the call and got to the scene, it took them 20 minutes to free it. Once it was free, the kitten was taken to the Dumb Friends League shelter, where a vet checked it up. It was in surprisingly healthy condition. It was starving so they put it in a hot spot and gave it all the food it needs.
Before being placed for adoption, the kitten will be placed in a foster home until she is eight weeks old. There’s already a perfect match — the gentleman who rescued her. The kitten would not have survived the night if it hadn’t been for him. They will be reunited in the near future. We adore it when fate aligns in such a way.
