Ash, who grew up surrounded by cats, has become the sweetest caregiver to kittens in need.
Since the day he was born, Ash (2) has been surrounded by cats. Athina, his mother, is an animal rescuer and the creator of the Jersey Kitty Rescue Network. Some of the cats that live there are rescues or have specific needs.
Shortly after Ash made his appearance in the world, Athina’s cat, Lt. Dan, who had paralyzed rear legs, arrived to meet the newcomer.
In the interview, Athina said, “He was Ash’s first feline buddy.”
The rest of the local cats quickly crowded around him. They took turns entertaining their tiny human and even gave him a couple of licks on the hand.
Casper The cat was there for several of Ash’s feedings and offered to keep an eye on him as he slept.
Casper the cat watches over and protects his human brother. Ash’s cat, Casper, keeps him company as he sleeps. Athina, who regularly brings kittens home to foster, immediately noticed her son’s passion for animals in need.
“When he turned one, we allowed him handle and touch them in a supervised situation. They were unique from the senior cats, Ash was fully aware. “Athina confessed with us that he was enamored by them.
“Ash would see me cleaning and feeding the cats. He was always willing to assist and make sure they had food and drink, which was really nice. He insisted on flushing after I scooped our flushable litter into the toilet.”
While he grows in size, so does his feeling of responsibility. Athina encourages him to be careful with the kittens, and Ash has learnt to handle them gently and lavishly kiss them.
Ash loves and tries to care for abandoned kittens.
With lots of instruction, Ash is able to offer delicate loving care to the foster kittens and has become the family’s tiniest feline caregiver.
“As much as he loves them, he’s still a toddler, and it’s a never-ending learning process for him,” Athina said in the interview.
The kittens love their human as much as he adores them. When he snuggles them, they purr like crazy and even attempt to nuzzle into his neck to get up close and personal.
“Since his birth, Ash has interacted with about 50 kittens. When he’s around them, he constantly shocks us.”
“He’ll count the kittens, point out their distinguishing features, and explain how they’re brothers and sisters,” says the narrator.
He’ll coo and softly speak to the kittens, and they’ll immediately flock to him. Ash adores carrying foster kittens in his arms and caressing their faces to calm them.
The tiny calico loves cuddling with Ash and soaking up the affection.
Every day, Ash, gives loves and kisses to his animal companions.
Tomato, Ash’s closest buddy, gives him a hug.
