This is the heartwarming and incredible story of Keanu, a cat rescued from an apartment complex in Belleville, New Jersey. The unfortunate kitten’s jaw was shattered by a severe kick from one of the complex’s maintenance staff. Thankfully, several animal rescuers intervened and saved him, giving him a second chance at life.
The complex had numerous stray cats, according to the rescuers, but the new management firm didn’t want them and always devised methods to scare them away. The unfortunate cats and kittens began to vanish all of a sudden. Some were poisoned, others were wounded, and still more were caught in crawl spaces and unlawful leg hold traps.
Keanu was smart, so he was able to avoid getting stuck. For this reason, when the rescuers came to help him, he was curious about them and just looked at the trap. After being hit in the face first and blocked many times, he was clearly afraid of people.
“After a few days, I was able to capture him. He was transported to the vet, who verified that his jaw was shattered and that he had teeth knocked out, but that it didn’t stop him from eating or drinking. Because he is a kitten, the vet opted to let his jaw heal naturally, and they would keep a careful eye on him. One of the rescuers stated, “He’s doing great.”
Keanu Reeves, an animal lover, was named after him by the rescuers. With 11th-hour rescue, he was able to find his permanent home. Everyone is overjoyed that the kitten has found a new home and owners who adore her. Life is wonderful to Keanu, and he makes sure he enjoys every moment of it.
