Three weeks after their house exploded, these two cats escaped for “miracles”.
Ashley Nadeau’s home in Topeka, Kansas, exploded after there was a gas leak. The house was demolished by the time firefighters arrived.
Luckily, Nadeau and her 9-month-old daughter were not present, but she has spent the past three weeks worrying about her two cats, Kunimitsu and Mr. Tibbs.
According to Topeka Capitol-Journal, Nadeau posted on Facebook, “it’s a miracle”. “I had the nightmare of finding him every night.”
The next day, Nadeau and her companion wandered through the rubble of the house for hours until they discovered their two cats among the rubble of the ruined house.
After digging, we found them hidden in a cave. I pulled them out of there while they were looking at us confused.
We immediately sent them to the vet to see their health condition. Both are fine and have no damage. They need some time to return to normal life because of the trauma they received from the explosion, Nadeau wrote.
